Aloys SenefeIder的彩色石版畫發明，令海報一開始就和藝術親密攜手。
柏林人Ernst Litfass的創意令整個歐洲街道有了新的風景，
海報藝術家把街道作為自己的畫廊。德國三百多年的海報歷史，
也是一部完整的藝術史，一部社會變遷史，一部現代工業史。
德國對海報的創造和貢獻直接影響了整個歐洲海報的歷史，
它是歐洲海報歷史不可避免的組成部份，無論藝術風格還是印刷技術。
三百年的歷史彈指的瞬間，但留下許多不朽的名字：
Emil Rudolf Weiss,Thomas Theodor Heine,
Lucian Bernhard,Ludwig Hohlwein,
John Heartfield, Kaethe Kollwitz,
Oskar Schlemmer, Herbert Bayer...
